I come from a non-tech background and have built my cybersecurity skills primarily through hands-on labs, CTFs, certifications, open-source work, and community learning.

🧠 Cybersecurity Journey

My journey started with platforms such as TryHackMe and Hack The Box, where I solved through hundreds of rooms covering web application security, penetration testing, Linux, networking, privilege escalation, and other security concepts.

CTFs are a major part of how I learn. Solving challenges forces me to research unfamiliar technologies, think creatively, and turn theory into practical skills. I’ve participated in 150+ CTF competitions through CTFtime.org and continue to use them as a way to explore new areas of security.

🛠️ Open Source & OWASP

I contribute to OWASP OpenCRE, an open-source platform for connecting security requirements with standards and guidelines.

My 25 PRs (4 open PR’s, 21 closed PR’s including 10 PR’s merged) have included work on:

I’ve completed the Google Cybersecurity Certificate, CompTIA Security+, IBM Cybersecurity Analyst Professional Certificate, and Google’s Bits and Bytes of Computer Networking, along with security-focused learning paths and CTF training from TryHackMe and Hack The Box.
